Bodybuilding On A Budget

Many muscle gain powders available on online portals facilitate the growth of muscle mass. These are taken during, before and after intense workouts, and then throughout the day at regular intervals. Normally, most bodybuilding supplements are expensive. But many cheap muscle gain powders can also be found there.

Main energy source

Dextrose or glucose is a sugar made from corn. It is the body’s main energy source. It produces an anabolic environment in the body and sharply improves muscle recovery. It is the source of energy for the muscles. The presence of anabolic hormone insulin in the blood speeds up the uptake of nutrients in the muscles. This leads to faster muscle growth. Dextrose should be taken close to a training session as high insulin at other times leads to a gain in fats. The intake of about 10-20 grams of dextrose 20 to 30 minutes before a workout raises the stock of muscle glycogen.

Necessary vitamins

The body performance is the best when it has the right amount of vitamins in the correct proportions. Vitamins have different functions and they help to boost the physical performance.  Vitamin B-12 helps the body to metabolize nutrients like proteins. Fish oil has vitamin E, which is important for the body. It can be best taken as part of the multivitamin preparations.

Healthy fats

Omega 3 fish oil carries some healthy fats. A low dose of 4 to 6 grams a day helps the heart functions, promotes muscle building and discourages fat gain. They tend to tone up the brain. This is available as oil and soft gel. The oil is cheaper.

Amino acids

Amino acids in whey protein repair muscles after a workout. Bodybuilders require a gram per pound of bodyweight per day of proteins. Normal meals, though protein-rich, cannot provide that much protein. Whey protein is the answer for any bodybuilder. This protein is suitable for the body as it has most of the amino acids. Meats, poultry, eggs and dairy products are good proteins but whey is the best.

Joint action

If dextrose and whey protein are taken together after intense workouts, the muscle recovery will improve immensely and muscle growth will begin quickly. Bodybuilders should consume proteins every 2-3 hours. If that is not possible for any reason, they should go for a protein shake.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant in the body. It boosts the performance of the immune system and helps to keep the body healthy. Vitamin C protects body cells. Its intake limits cortisol release. Cortisol breaks down muscle proteins. Vitamin C intake restricts this damage. Four grams of vitamin C per day is the optimum dose.

Creatine gives best results

Creatine achieves maximum strength and muscle gain. It needs to be taken in small amounts. Creatine is transformed into phosphocreatine. This reproduces ATP in muscles. Creatine thus raises ATP output and strengthens the muscle. Creatine adds to the water content of muscles and improves their fullness.

BCAAs

Branch-chain amino acids or BCAAs are effective protein. BCAAs leucine, isoleucine and valine construct muscle, supply energy to the body and facilitate the absorption of other proteins. A product containing only leucine, isoleucine and valine but nothing else will be cheap. Pay only for the useful part of the supplement.
