Finding The Time For Executive Coaching

There’s an ironic twist when you’ve decided that you’d like to take executive coaching: if you’re at an executive level in the first place, you don’t usually have the time. At least, that was until new ways of coaching were developed.

Imagine having to schedule half of your day to go attend coaching in a separate location and in a face-to-face session. Very few managers or execs will have that kind of time spare – time that could be spent in more productive meetings or with their team. Face-to-face coaching is now only one of many options available to a busy executive.

The advent of high-speed internet has broadened the coaching horizon. You can be coached online while you’re on your laptop, but now you don’t even have to be tied to your desk because of smartphones and tablets being able to use the same technology. You can be coached by phone, on the move or in your car, but also using technology like Skype for interactive video and audio, too.

This also means that a busy executive doesn’t even need to be in the office to have a boost via a coaching session. The development of the mobile office means that you can be coached anywhere in the world, and in any time zone. On-demand coaching via any digital means is the future of coaching, and the reason why you now can’t use the excuse that you’re “too busy” – because so are the coaches. Now any exec in any location can find the time in their schedule for business coaching.
